The story’s turning point elevated the stakes and put Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri on separate journeys to find each other. Avoid the large Hemsworth-shaped bush. The first thing you want to know is how the show will handle Geralt’s transition from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth in season four.Cavill has played the grunting, neutral monster-slayer well for three seasons, but his changing ideals make it the right time to pivot.
There are various theories regarding how this change will happen. Might it be multiverse? An ironic meta approach? Perhaps Jaskier will mention Geralt’s transition from tough to a new palette of rugged.

Fortunately, Witcher producer Tomek Bagiński guided us through this perilous era.
In an interview with Yahoo, Bagiński reassured fans that they had a solid plan to unveil the new Geralt and Liam’s vision.
“It’s very close to the meta ideas that are deeply embedded in the books, especially book five,” “Not going deeply into those ideas because this will be a huge spoiler.”

He added reassuringly: “It’s very lore accurate.”
“It’s near to the books, and I think this change will be perfect. However, there will be a new Geralt and a fresh face for this character, which I believe will be extremely intriguing to witness.”
Geralt will emerge from his season-three cocoon differently in several ways. Geralt was permanently and physically disabled following his struggle with Vilgefortz in the books, and the creators have indicated that they will explore this on screen.
Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich responded to a Twitter discussion questioning Geralt’s on-page disability: “I keep thinking about this thread. These volumes and passages have been read a dozen times, and I’ve only thought, ‘Geralt has some discomfort; onto the next item.’
“I erred. This excites me to investigate. This layer for our hero.”
Yennefer has significant business on the other side of the Continent. Aretuza lost Tissaia and The Brotherhood quickly after her fall. In the absence of her mentor and mother, Yennefer must lead.
According to The Witcher’s season three ending, the Lodge of Sorceresses era is being teased. The power vacuum left by The Brotherhood’s annihilation created this sisterhood of wizards.
In the books, Philippa formed the Lodge, and Yennefer eventually joined. Yennefer may lead the Lodge from the start if the show takes that route.

In the end, Geralt reminded Yennefer how much the other mages needed her. Later in the episode, Yennefer inspires them to fight Vilgefortz. Triss Merigold, Keira Metz, Sabrina Glevissig, and Margarita Laux-Antille, the mages she’s giving her motivational speech to, are half of the Lodge of Sorceresses’ initial members, so we’re halfway there.
Ciri’s exploits with The Rats will take off, we’re sure.

The source material has her join the outlaws for a time, which we will see on screen.Not for long, we assume. She, Geralt, and Yennefer can’t be separated for long. Season four must also confront her magic loss.
Without our Bard, The Witcher wouldn’t be complete. Jaskier has grown from comic relief to a more complex character this season. We’re excited to see his character arc develop, both with and without his growing romance with Redania Radovid’s new ruler. We may anticipate the villains to step up their evil.
Mahesh Jadu told Digital Spy that season four would show Vilgefortz’s uglier side, which must be extreme because the character we know is already the darkest shade.

Emperor Emhyr must watch his back. He may have everything he’s ever wanted—the fall of Aretuza, the return of his ‘daughter’ (aka Fake Ciri, and we’re still not sure if he knows she’s a doppelgänger—season four will have to clarify this—and the elves under his thumb—but they’re not as neutered as he thinks.

Liam Hemsworth will play Geralt of Rivia instead of Henry Cavill. Main character of the show. A “Witcher” monster hunter, he is magical.
Freya Allan plays Cirilla. Ciri Fiona Elen Riannon. Cintra’s crown princess and granddaughter of Queen Calanthe.
Anya Chalotra will reprise Yennefer of Vengerberg.
Joey Batey as Jaskier—A traveling bard who helps Geralt on his journey.
Eamon Farren portrays Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach, while Mecia Simson portrays Francesca Findabair.
Featuring Bart Edwards as Duny and Mahesh Jadu as Vilgefortz of Roggeveen.
All the above actors will appear in season 4. The series will also feature new actors. It would be intriguing to see who would join Liam Hemsworth, who would doubt the program as the main character.
Delay and Release Expectation:
Netflix has not announced this show’s release date. According to online reports, The Witcher Season 4’s final script is finished. Writers Guild of America strike delayed it.
The SAG-AFTRA strike delays show taping. Season 4 production is slated to begin in 2024. After that, Netflix will air the season in early 2025.
